The concept behind PEG.TV is to allow local stations to make video programming easily accessible to their respective communities, via the internet.

One North Jersey town says it is launching a revolutionary system to alert residents in an emergency.
November 9, 2007 (Saddle Brook, NJ) - Saddle Brook officials say they are the first in the nation to adopt an alert system that simultaneously sends a message to subscribers' cellphones and e-mail accounts and posts it on the town Web site and cable channel. The system, created by a company that provides support programs for community television stations, is faster than reverse 911 and can potentially reach more people because users can receive the messages no matter where they are, not just at their homes, township officials said.
